Dan Diedrich - President:  Dan serves as president of the RLC Council. He also serves on the Outreach Ministry team and plays guitar with the contemporary service praise band. Dan grew up in Milwaukee, and relocated to southern CA in 2000 after many job related moves throughout the US. He is an engineer and recently retired from his position as Customer Technical Service Manager for International Paper. Dan has been a member of RLC since 2004. His interests include music, travel and hiking.

Carol Grudzien - Vice President: Carol serves as vice-president of the RLC Council. She was baptized, confirmed, raised and wed in the Lutheran faith. Carol & Jim's wedding venue 37 years ago brought them to RLC. They have two daughters, Rachel and Lauren, both baptized and confirmed at RLC. Carol received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology, emphasis in child psychology, from Long Beach State University. Carol worked in financial aid offices while attending college. In 1983, she worked downtown Los Angeles at a full house brokerage firm. In 1987, Carol started working for a Regional Director of A Financial Planning firm and has made a career out of it. Favorite pastimes include dancing, hiking and spending time with family.

Maureen Ortega - Secretary: Currently serving as the Church Council Secretary, Maureen Ortega and her family have been a member of RLC since 2020.  A South Bay native, she has a Bachelor’s degree in Communications and Marketing from CSULB.  Maureen and her husband have one child who is a student at RHLS.  She is an avid volunteer at many organizations, and has a great love for music, reading, and the Dodgers.

Judy Milner - Member: Judy has lived in the beach cities since 1952. She and her husband owned and operated a tourist shop for 42 years on the Redondo Beach pier. Other businesses included a restaurant, pet store and the largest gift shop on San Pedro's Ports o Call. Judy's daughter is an alumni of RHLPS and RHLS, attending pre-school through eighth grade at our Christian school. Judy is an active member of the RLC congregation. She serves on the church Council, the School Board and various ministry teams. Her interests include her dog and neighborhood walks. Judy also enjoys trips to the birthing lagoon of the coast of Mexico for the gray whales and a recent great white shark dive expedition

Pastor Ken Johnson: In His ministry at Resurrection Lutheran Church Pastor Johnson focuses on interaction with other religious communities and partners in business, government, the arts and civic society.  Concerned for all the people of Resurrection Church, School and Preschool, he has a particular passion for the care and wellbeing of homeless people in the community parish.

​

Pastor Johnson is a graduate of Trinity Seminary, Columbus, Ohio, Fuller Seminary, Pasadena, California, Pepperdine University, Malibu, California, studied at the Drucker Institute, Stetson University and SUNY in Buffalo, New York.

Pastor Johnson lives in Redondo Beach with his wife Barbie.
