Julie Jacks - Vice President: Julie has attended RLC since 1988 when her son Brett enrolled in Kindergarten at RHLS. After he and his two sisters graduated from RHLS, Julie realized that RLC had become her “home” and she joined the church in 2002. Julie is an Air Force “brat”, so she moved often during her childhood. She attended Hamline University in St. Paul, MN and double majored in Math and Spanish. Her professional career employment was with IBM and Xerox in various Marketing and Sales positions.

Julie has truly found her calling in Mission work. She is a member of the RLC Mission Team and is involved with many local and global ministries…including co-leading an annual mission trip to El Salvador, co-founding Family Promise of the South Bay, and several others.

Julie thanks God for leading her to RLC as she feels extremely blessed to be part of this awesome spirit-filled church family.

She has a passion for her church, community and talking apologetics and the life of Jesus Christ.

Donna Dunlap - Member: Shortly after Butch and I got married in 1983, we attended many churches looking for a common ground between the two churches we had been attending. I felt very comfortable when we attended Resurrection and thought there was no way Butch would also. As we were driving home, he expressed how much he liked the service. Soon after we became members.

Our two children attended Riviera Preschool and Riviera Hall for eleven years. Cara only left to attend high school and college. Upon graduating, she was hired as a RHLS teacher twelve years ago. She has spent two-thirds of her life going to Riviera Hall each morning.
Butch and I have devoted that many years to the school and even more years to the church. I have served on mission teams, including School Board. Butch can usually be seen in the kitchen after most events that have dirty dishes to wash.

When I retired twelve years ago, I revitalized the senior program at RLC. We would have speakers or groups come in or we would go on field trips in Los Angeles County. I speak in the past, when COVID hit we did have two ZOOM meetings but it was difficult to organize activities. Every August the BASIC group thanks the staff of RHLS and RHPS by inviting them to our annual luncheon. After the pandemic, I became President of Torrance Sister City, another volunteer organization that our family has supported for more than forty years. I hope to again revitalize BASIC, with more than just the August luncheon. Let me know if you have any interests that can be shared with our group, either on campus or as a field trip.
